    Suffolk County Youth Bureau
    The Suffolk County Youth Bureau strives to protect the rights and welfare of the youth in Suffolk County. It also acts to ensure their physical, social and educational well-being. It is the belief of the Youth Bureau that every child and family residing in Suffolk County is entitled to a system of services, which provides support, nurturance, and an overall positive outlook on life.

    Horizons is a not-for-profit agency funded to provide adolescent and adult treatment, prevention and education services for drug and alcohol related problems.

    Long Island Gay and Lesbian Youth (LIGALY)

    The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan political organization, encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy.

    Response Hotline
    Response is a crisis intervention hotline (631/751-7500), professionally trained and supervised counselors offer caller telephone support and help them to explore options for next steps that they might take for finding additional assistance or comfort. The is to reduce the risk of impulsive behavior that could lead to self-injury, suicide, or harm to others.

    Boys and Girls Club of Suffolk County
    Promotes and enhances the development of boys and girls by instilling in them a sense of competence, usefulness, belonging and influence. Elementary and teen programs are available Monday through Saturday.
